Fedaykin Astounding, epic, proggy post-metal. Every track is an exceedingly well constructed journey. I hope the journeys continue. Favorite track: Dreamspirals.

Stuart Maxwell Nothing is too. Everything is very. Somewhere between Elder, Bongripper and nothing you've heard is Mountain Caller. Walk on a common on a clear night. Wrap up warm. Favorite track: Feast At Half Light City.

muschiosauro A seriously exalting slab of progressive doom metal of the highest order. Almost no vocals, but this band knows how to keep things in constant motion and how to tell tales through sound. The music goes from deep, thick, slow riffs to ethereal interludes and from intricate, meandering passages to sudden bursts of energy, and everything is tight and purposeful. Really impressive stuff. Favorite track: A Clamour Of Limbs.

Paul Schwarz Only one track tells me this is something special. I mean, NHS have a pretty good track record but they do miss once in a while: this is another case of "thank you NHS!". Think Helen (Kimmo, from Finland) blended with Entombed circa that stonking 'Night of the Vampire' cover, blended with Agalloch-ish black metal. So excited to hear the rest!

itskinglizard this record takes you on a journey, an arduous adventure, it's nothing short of a whole experience Favorite track: Journey Through The Twilight Desert.

about

Mountain Caller describe themselves as a heavy progressive instrumental three-piece, who are driven to tell stories with music and want listeners to conjure up cinematic scenes in their minds.
If you need a sonic ballpark, think the infectious jamming of Elder and the dynamic cinema-scapes of Mogwai, underpinned by the mantric riffs of Sleep int a rich amalgam of Progressive Rock, Post Metal and Doom.
Chronicle I: The Truthseeker. is the fruit of three years of jamming, crafting, and conceptualising; a collaborative piece, where each instrument takes centre stage, within a heady mix of chasmic riffs and panoramic, reflective soundscapes.
